SVC Strategic Plan

This strategic plan sets out my mission and mandate, vision and values and offers an outline of the work I will be pursuing during my 3 year appointment as Scottish Veterans Commissioner. It sets a path and priorities as well as the next steps and approach my office and I will be taking. Some of this work may be more long term and continue beyond the end of my tenure and this would be a decision for my successor.

A really useful Armed Forces Covenant Conference in Portsmouth, with many interesting speakers including the Minister for Veterans and People Calvin Bailey MP, Armed Forces Commissioner Polly Miller Perkins CBE, FiMT, the MOD Valour team and Northern Ireland Veterans Commissioner David Johnstone. A great opportunity to share good practice, hear about local implementation and experience, and consider the opportunities and challenges across the UK. A huge thanks to the conference organisers. #AFCovenantConference2026 #ArmedForcesCovenantConference2026 #ArmedForcesCovenant
